EVENT: Data protection for start ups: why it is never too soon to think about your data

Hear from a panel of experts on why small businesses should invest some time in their data protection practices.

This event is moderated by Chris Chilton from Orchard PR and features a panel of experts including Richard Field, partner at Appleby and chair of the Bailiwick of Guernsey Data Protection Association and Rachel Masterton, Guernsey’s Deputy Data Protection Commissioner.

Data protection might seem to be something that only concerns large businesses who deal with large amounts of data. But in fact any business needs to ensure that the data it holds is protected. While the size of fines or the seriousness of data breaches suffered by large, established businesses can be frightening, ensuring your start up or small business is following data protection principles correctly does not need to be a major drama. The Bailiwick of Guernsey Data Protection Association is hosting this free event to help start-ups and small businesses focus effectively on their data by ensuring that data protection is incorporated early on into their business plans.
